AT&T has used that information in the past to gauge interest, but even if you and all your new neighbors did so, there are no guarantees. AT&T is not currently greatly expanding their fiber coverage. Mainly just new construction. Since you have AT&T Internet 50 Mbps available you are right in the middle of the AT&T Internet offering. You have FTTN which is Fiber to a local box in your neighborhood (VRAD). From there it is all copper with a max speed of 100 Mbps if close to the VRAD (serving terminal). The nearest known ATT Fiber customer is around 477 feet from my house.I have an AT&T fiber pole at the end of my driveway. A fiber termination point across the street, but I am only offered 18 Meg bonded DSL. I have Comcast, but they seem to think 900 down/25 up is a good plan. My cloud backups are so slow. I'd take 300/300 in a heartbeat. So distance is NOT my issue. Any thoughts?.
